Write Small
For almost a year now I’ve written almost everything on my iPhone. That includes long-form content like emails and Medium stories.
I write long emails in the Notes app and when it’s ready I share it to Mail.
I think most people are comfortable writing long-form content on their desktop, which obviously makes sense because we tend to edit a lot and are far more adept at keyboard and mouse.
But, I found that writing on my phone forced me to think hard about my message and write in a more terse, active and conversational voice. It was also better for readers (who tend to be on mobile devices and have limited time).
Now, I strongly prefer it. And this message was obviously crafted on my phone.
